One of the most important factors to consider when looking for under under cabinet replacement bulbs is how bright they are. Here is the quick but detailed tutorial on under cabinet light bulb replacement and how to change bulb in under cabinet light. Explaing how to replace halogen bulbs, LED puck lights as well as explain the advantages of under cabinet lighting.
1. First, turn off the light and wait for it to cool down.
2. Next, spin the lens cover counter-clockwise to take it off.

Remove the old under cabinet lights. Remove the wire nuts to take off all of the connections. The orange caps are on the wires.
With a power drill, take off 2 screws that hold up the light fixture and then take it down. All that will be left is exposed wires.
Follow what is written in your instruction manual about how to get parts out from inside of the fixture. Basically you need to remove a diffuser and 2 screws with long nose pliers from inside it first; then feed it through an opening on backside or wall side (nut is always on backside). Tighten with long nose pliers and remember: nut goes on backside or wall side!
Push wires into the quick connect nut on the fixture. White wires to white, black wires to black, and ground wire to green. Make sure there are no holes in the connectors. Now flip your circuit breaker and make sure that it works. If not, flip your breaker off again and check for any loose connections.
Use screws and washers provided with the LED light panel to screw it in place on top of a base that is attached to a cabinet wall using power drill or Philips head screwdriver (both included).
Attach diffuser over top of LED light panel using screws that came with it (also included)
The way to replace LEDs is more difficult. Many LED lights have diodes, so it’s hard to take them out and put new ones in. But you don’t need to worry because by the time your LEDs need to be replaced, you will have many new options that are less expensive.
First, make sure the power is off. For a halogen ceiling light, turn it off at the wall.
If you are replacing a bulb which has just turned on, then wait for it to cool for awhile. Halogen bulbs get hot when they are turned on.
You will also need to find a safe and comfortable position to replace the bulb. Halogen bulbs can be tricky because they might not work if you don’t have someone “spotting” you during the process of replacing them.
You’ll need to take off the cover of the lamp. This varies from bulb to bulb, but usually you can do it by hand. For a halogen bulb, it usually screws or clips off.
Then put your hand over the new bulb so that you don’t get burned and turn counterclockwise to unscrew it out of its place in the socket. Take your old bulb and line up its pins with notches inside the socket. Push them in until they are all inside.
Once you have the pins in the notches of the halogen bulb, twist it fully clockwise. This will lock it into place and connect it to power. Then, you can attach the cover back on and reconnect power. Old halogen bulbs should go in your normal household waste.
First, turn off the light. Then you need to find the slot on the rim of the cover and stick your screwdriver in it. Pry with a gentle motion until about 30% of the cover comes off from around the base. Careful! Don’t let it fall over or drop because if that happens, then you could break it! Put your hands on both sides of the led replacement bulb for puck lights and twist gently- until it starts to come out. When both hands are holding onto either side of that glass thingy, pull apart. Keep one hand on each side and don’t let them slip because they will break if they slip out. Get new bulbs by putting gloves on first so you don’t get burned, then put them in there gently
Push the two holes of the new bulb in with the two prongs. Then turn on the light to see if it is working. If it isn’t, try wiggling around the new bulb and pushing it in more firmly. Once you have done that, try turning on the light again. Make sure that you replace the cover by gently pressing it back onto your light fixture. The cover should sit flush against your cabinet when you are done replacing it
